Owning a hundred-crore storefront, solo

[ Overview ]

I own the D2C storefront for a brand doing hundreds of crores in revenue. When work fell between roles and no one picked it up, I stepped in and ran all of it — strategy through code.

[ Problem ]

The storefront needed a single owner across product, front-end, CRO, and analytics. Those gaps belonged to no one, so they sat.

[ Approach ]

The product call

I took ownership across the whole stack — driving the decisions and making the calls no one else was making, coordinating the agency where it helped rather than waiting on it.

What I built

Roadmap and prioritization, front-end code and fixes, the daily experiment program, analytics and reporting — shipped by me, end to end.

[ Learnings ]

  • 01Ownership beats a title — the person who steps in is the person who ships.
  • 02Breadth — product and code and growth — is rare leverage.
  • 03The gaps no one owns are where the value is.
